A Week In Pictures

Yeah...I'm sorry...again.

It's been 10 days since I've written (or read) many posts lately.  I'm totally going against my resolution of wanting to blog more...BUT in the meantime I AM concentrating more on advertising my Scentsy business, getting Annaliese to more play dates outside of our home, and working out!

So, I've been busy, but it's been good :)

In no particular order, I'd like to share with you my week in photos!

Taking care of business :) *by the way, these are 10% off through Jan 31, if you're interested*
I was asked to be in a wedding of a friend from high school and this is what our bridesmaids dress will look like, all in shades of purple (minus the sweetheart neckline)

Annaliese had a little music lesson from Uncle Alex when he came over for dinner

(left) I got from my across-the-world-friend, Maureen. (right) I found on Instagram and had to share! (By the way, this is indication that I've been working out) -hehe

We Skyped with my dad and Jackie aka Papou and Nana
Annaliese cannot get enough of this Little People Princess Castle!  I'll admit, I love it too!  #jealous

We found our belly button and have been obsessed ever since!

We had 2 play dates with our friends Nicole and Norah

This is my awesome "to go" cup from my BFF that I've been using when I leave the house :)

We even went out to dinner as a family :) (mommy not pictured) ;)

It's been busy lately, but life wouldn't be life if it weren't busy!  I'll be back soon!  I have to update you all of Annaliese and her "15 month update post" as well as Justin and I's upcoming date night this Saturday!  We'll be celebrating Valentine's Day since it's the only time we have (with a sitter available) to go out together!  I hope you all are doing well and I'll try to catch up on some of your blogs soon!  Much love to you all!

Color Run, Here I Come!

You all have probably heard of a Color Run, right?

It's a national tour of a mapped out 5k in many large cities where people of all ages can participate in running, walking, skipping, crawling to the finish line while getting blasted with a rainbow of powdered color the whole way through!

Check out this video!  It pretty much explains everything that happens!  :)

Well my best friend, Takia and I had tried to sign up for The Color Run last year and participate in the Washington D.C. tour.  Unfortunately two weeks after the starting sign up date, they were sold out!  I didn't realize how popular it was at the time.  We were very disappointed but prayed that there would be another opportunity ahead.  I signed up to be on their VIP email list to be one of the first people to hear about another Color Run event in the area.  I received an email stating that there will be another race in D.C. in 2013 and sign ups will start on Dec 1, 2012.  I mentioned this to some of my friends and quickly got a few "We're in!" responses!

Well...

We're in!  I have signed up and I am officially going to do my first ever Color Run on May 19, 2013!  I can't wait to have another 5k notch on my belt!  This time, my friends and I are going to try to create a time to beat for all of us!  Motivation is key for any work out and it helps to have friends and family on a journey with you to do so!  I am so excited for this new adventure in our Nation's Capital!
I am ready to get back on schedule with running and working out and be ready to run this awesomely messy color race next year!

I'm blessed to have my awesome friends, my always supportive family and my super supportive and awesome blogging buddies!  Thanks for being there to cheer me on!

Annaliese and Her Pumpkin Party

I know many of you have been wondering where the heck I have been and where the heck are the party pictures from 3 weeks ago.  Oooops!

Well truth be told, the three of us have pretty much just passed around being sick.  Justin came home from work on Friday (Oct 12- before the party), saying that he was going to urgent care because he was pretty sure he had an ear infection.  Well he was right.  They sent him home with an ear drop antibiotic.  He was in bad pain the whole weekend, but was a trooper and still put on a happy face for his little girl's birthday party.  Then it was Annaliese who wasn't feeling well on the day of her own party.  Insert collective "awww" here.  She was teething (when are they NOT teething?!) and very congested.  No fever, just slightly miserable.  She was also a trooper and loved her party (and her cake!).  Then most recently I've not been feeling well.  I thought it was just really had allergies, which isn't uncommon at all for me, but when I started feeling worse, I went to the doctor and confirmed I had a sinus infection.  I've been on antibiotics since Monday and have been living on soup and hot tea.  Only since Thursday have I started to feel better enough to do dishes, laundry and actually put on make up (yeah it's been that bad).

So that brings me to now.  I have missed blogging!  I have missed reading blogs, commenting on blogs, linking up with bloggers! ...I feel like I've missed SO MUCH lately.

I'm still working on getting some more pictures from the party from our guests, since Justin and I were pretty busy, needless to say.
So without further ado, here's some party pics!

Sorry these are a little out of order...I just want to get this post up!  :)

Annaliese had a great time at her party with all of her friends and most of her family! :)  She was able to get in a morning nap prior to the party which helped, but after her long day...she crashed in her MaMaw's arms.

Another Great Wedding In 2012

As I stated in my previous post, this past weekend the hubby and I went out of town for a wedding of our two good friends, Fawn and Joe.  It was a Friday evening wedding, which was a different approach to the usual Saturday weddings we're used to.  It was also a beach/bay wedding, which we had never attended before, so that was super nice!  Fawn and Joe picked a gorgeous venue for their special day and although the weather could've been better, it still felt tropical to smell the salty air and see all the beautiful flowers and palm trees everywhere.  PLUS it was really nice to get away and have some adult time...with some adult beverages.

We hit some major DC beltway traffic going down there and despite the on and off pouring rain and our full bladders, we kept on truckin' until we arrived at the Herrington Beach Inn resort.

Stop.  Go.  Stop.  Go.  Stop....ahhh! Drives me nuts!

The wedding started at 5:30pm and we arrived to the resort at 5:05pm.  We still had to find the office, check in, unload the car, change clothes and I needed to finish my make up.  Luckily we were able to do all of that in the short time we had and still make it to the wedding before it started.  It was a gorgeous place to get married!  A gorgeous place to spend a weekend, even with the high winds and hovering rain clouds.  I think we'll be heading back someday, maybe for an anniversary -hoping my husband reads this part :)

Fawn and Joe looked insatiably happy all day!  Oh and I forgot to mention, they actually got married twice on that day.  They had the formal ceremony and after eating dinner at their reception, the minister returned and said that she could not sign the marriage certificate because the county was printed incorrectly.  So the newlyweds had to leave their own reception and drive 8 miles to the county line, get out of the car and say "I do" (AGAIN) to the minister, and then was pronounced man and wife (AGAIN) and the minister was finally able to sign the marriage certificate legitimately.  They were not too happy about having to do that, but luckily they were good sports and wouldn't let a little thing like this mess up their special day!  I'm sure it will be a great story to tell their kids and grand kids someday.  Haha!

Justin and I had a fun weekend getaway together and were so glad to be part of our dear friends' special day!  After the long drive back home, we were anxiously awaiting to pick up our baby girl from Grandma's house!  And as we should've known, she was anxiously waiting for us too! :)

Your Friendly Mama,

Share the love!
